Petal to the Rescue | Events

The following is a press release by the event coordinator:

Petal High School Health Science class has planned a 10 month campaign to teach at least 60% of the city's population AHA's Family and Friends CPR. The name of the project is "PETAL TO THE RESCUE" city-wide CPR training.

The project is scheduled to kick-off with a press conference followed by our 1st mass CPR event to train of all Petal city employees and administration.

The next scheduled event will be to teach 550 Petal School District employees and then teach 7-12 grades,  which will be over 1500 students.

Starting in September, 32 PHS seniors and I will begin monthly Mass training events at churches, Petal YMCA,Center for Children and Families, and Petal Civic Center Specific dates are listed on the attached flyer.

The "Petal to the Rescue" is a finalist in an effort to win a $25,000 grant from State Farm for CPR equipment. We can win if we have enough Facebook votes(link)."
100 projects are finalists and 40 will get the grant. Voting opens on April 27 and continues through May 17.
