If You Feed Them, They Will Build!

Next week, Hattiesburg Habitat will be hosting nearly 30 students from Pittsburgh that will be coming to volunteer to build the home of Daniel Litland in Petal. These students give up one week of their winter break to volunteer with Habitat. They are volunteers, so we like to reward their efforts with some good old Southern hospitality!

If you would like to volunteer to help feed these students lunch during the week- please sign up here!

Oak Grove Middle School raises over $1,000 for Hattiesburg Habitat

The students at Oak Grove Middle School raised over $1,000 for Hattiesburg Area Habitat for Humanity through their Nickels for Nails fundraiser. This effort was led by the Student Council who is advised by teacher Megan Bradshaw. “We decided to work with Habitat because it had not been done in the past. The student's really liked the idea of helping local Hattiesburg residents. They liked the idea of being a part of something so great and knowing that they helped build a home for someone special.”
